Green auto shipping?

Auto Shipping, auto transport, auto shippers

I have a Prius, because I am greatly concerned for the environment and want to do my part to better our deconstruction of it. Due to my beliefs, I have been considering moving to Portland Oregon to be around more like minded people. But, I inquire about the environmental impacts of Auto Shipping. It seems as though those big trucks they transport cars on use a lot of gas and pollute the air. In Portland my main source of transportation will of course be my bicycle. My car will mostly be used to go grocery shopping and go on day trips to the beach, Seattle and the Columbia Gorge. Currently I live in the very polluted city of New Orleans. According to online research that is over two thousand miles away from my destination of Portland, Oregon. Are the additional emissions from the trucks an Car Shipping company worth the move? Or should I just drive there myself? The nature in Portland, Oregon is suppose to be outstanding. I’m very excited to see it. I’ve read they have over 80 miles of forest trails surrounding the city. The ocean is only two or three hours away, which means I can go there often to pick up trash on the beach. Portland has even recently started a city wide composting program that encourages people to produce less trash. Are there any environmentally friendly Auto Shippers available for hire? Is it probable for a ten auto carrier to run on bio-fuel? Thank you!
